This first year at Brookwood is an exciting one filled with wonder as students begin their educational journey. Our integrated curriculum approach helps to instill a positive attitude toward learning as our youngest students establish an academic foundation and a strong sense of self and community. Complementing the self-contained classroom activities, the Pre-K students enjoy numerous specials including art, physical education, music and library as well as weekly visits with their fourth-grade buddies. Journal writing, graphing math problems, conducting science experiments and service learning are just a few of the innovative activities through which students develop basic educational skills and experience the many joys of learning. As a team, the Pre-K teachers enjoy the benefit of getting to know the unique qualities and learning styles of each child. Students leave Pre-K loving learning and loving life.
