Peanut Policy
Please remember that we have several students at Brookwood who are highly allergic to peanuts and nut products. Any exposure to nuts could trigger a life threatening reaction. In order to provide a safe environment for our students, we ask that you comply with the following guidelines:
As a general rule, please do not send food to school.
Exception to this are:
- Lower School birthday celebrations
- Cultural celebrations related to curriculum
- Snacks for team sports
All food sent into the school must be nut free and cannot be processed in a plant that also processes peanut products. Please read the ingredients list carefully and check with your child’s teacher and with the nurse a day or two in advance.
(Just as a reminder: Dunkin’ Donuts products are no longer considered to be “nut free.”)
