The Dodge Writing Center
Dedicated to supporting Brookwood's goal of excellence in writing, the Dodge Writing Center provides learning space, a trained director, technology, remediation and enrichment for students, professional growth opportunities for faculty and connection to the broader community of writers. A quiet, comfortable space in the school designed for writing, reflecting and conferring, the setting is appropriate for the whole class, small group and individual visits. The Center features an LC Projector with document camera and computer, writing supplies of all kinds, reference material and a performance alcove with sound system. Adjacent to its main room, the center has a Publishing Room with laminator, binder and various supplies for the creation of books. In addition to visiting in connection with their classes, Upper and Middle School students are encouraged to come to the Dodge Writing Center during study hall and recess for quiet work or for assistance with writing of all kinds.
