Brookwood Fund: 100% in 100 Days

Thank you to the 200 parents who have participated in our 100% in 100 Days participation challenge. If you haven't shown your support, there is still time. Grade 1 and Grade 4 are almost to 100% - you did it last year, do it again! It is all about participation, and gifts of any size make a big impact!
Remember, a pledge counts toward our goal (and you will not receive another call from our volunteers) but payment is not due until fiscal year end, June 30, 2017. Show your support today and let's finish strong.

January 19: Parenting and Technology talk

Parents of children in Grades 4 and 5, mark your calendars for Thursday, January 19, from  8:30 to 10:00 a.m., in the Dodge Writing Center. Brookwood's Director of Technology will present a talk entitled, Parenting and Technology: Understanding the issues, establishing safe and appropriate practices.
Your children may be using social media like Instagram and Snapchat because they are fun and popular. They may also be using smartphones and iPads. Each of these technologies pose risks to children. Understand what these risks are and how to reduce them. Come and learn about the latest research on the impact of technology on children and how to help your child use technology in developmentally healthy and appropriate ways. What are the challenges that parents should know about as their children grow up with technology and what are the best strategies for addressing these challenges?
