Week of March 13 - 28, 2017

Best wishes for a great Spring Break!
There's plenty of room in the Crate Family Town Square for second and sixth grade buddies to draw and share their favorite spring activities.
Deadline March 27: Sign up for
spring after-school classes

     Registration is now open for Brookwood's new spring after-school classes. Please visit Spring Classes to access class descriptions.
     There are some amazing new offerings including an expanded 3D Printing course led by Rich Lehrer and an adult knitting class led by Annabel Wildrick. Use Brookwood's Reports Server to officially register.
     Please sign up by the the last day of March Break (March 27) so teachers can plan accordingly for those classes that are scheduled during our first week back. Contact Justin Zappia at jzappia@brookwood.edu with any questions.

We are setting aside time on Thursday, April 6, to honor and celebrate the creativity and incredible work done by our students.
     This year there is a new format to the celebration. It will be a daylong event from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.  Artwork by our PreK through Grade 8 artists will be displayed throughout the school, and students will view the artwork with their Buddies throughout the school day. There will be a short presentation at School Meeting, a special "art-themed" lunch, and three mini-workshops for students will be offered from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m.
     Students need to sign up for these optional mini-workshops in advance. There is a limit of 16 children for each workshop:
1) Paper Marbling, Paste Paper, and other creative paper surface techniques, for Middle and Upper School students;
2) Printmaking and Design, for Lower and Middle School students;
3) Plastic Buildables, for Lower and Middle School students.
     Parents and families are encouraged to view the exhibit after School Meeting from 10:30 -11:00 a.m. (and of course either before or after school).
     We hope to see you on April 6 from 10:30 - 11:00 a.m. to honor and view the amazing work done by your children. Your encouragement and support of your child or children's creativity is greatly appreciated.
     If you have questions, please feel free to contact Kathy Stewart at either kstewart@brookwood.edu or 978-526-4500 ext. 6315
Thank you,
Kathy Stewart, Suzanne Kelsey and Annabel Wildrick
