Mystery Wine Grab at the Auction
     We are accepting wine donations valued at $25 or above. The wines will be wrapped up and placed in a "Mystery Wine Grab." For $25, attendees are guaranteed a bottle valued at $25 or more! Come test your luck and walk away a winner! Please drop off any wine donations in the PA office upstairs or with Eliza Cowan in the Advancement Office.  
Young Children and Technology Workshop

Parents of Lower School children are invited to attend a workshop Young Children and Technology with Doug Fodeman, Brookwood's Director of Technology, on Thursday, May 4, in the Dodge Writing Center from 8:30-10:00 am.  Learn what  the latest research says about children and technology and how you can establish safe, age-appropriate practices for your children.

There will be time for parents to raise questions and discuss their concerns about technology and their children. For access to lots of resources on this important topic, visit: Technology Guidelines

Brookwood Fund: Make it Happen in May!

Brookwood is currently at 80% current parent participation to the Brookwood Fund thanks to many of you that made your gift in the fall with our 100% in 100 Days push. If you haven't made your gift, now is the time to Make It Happen In May!

If you have not participated, your fellow Trustees and Division Representatives will be reaching out to you during the month of May. Answer the call and participate today as we work together to increase current parent participation. Brookwood Fund participation at any level matters. It's true: gifts of all sizes are what make the Fund special. The most important Brookwood Fund number is the percentage of people who participate, because high participation shows a community that is fully committed!

May 5: Brookwood Alumni Mentor Event

We are delighted to welcome Jay Sweet '84 back to campus on
May 5 to spend the
morning with the Upper School. A member of Brookwood's Class of 1984 and graduate of the Teacher Training Program, Jay is the Director of Newport Festivals which includes the Newport Jazz Festival and the Newport Folk Festival. We are having a coffee from 8:00-8:30 a.m. in the Dodge Writing Center and invite parents to meet Jay before he heads off for the morning with the Upper School students. Welcome back to Brookwood, Jay!  

May 9: Admissions Open Classrooms event
     On Tuesday, May 9, from 8:45-11:30 a.m., prospective parents are invited to enjoy a morning of sampling classes. A full schedule will be available featuring a variety of disciplines and grade levels.
     Current parents are Brookwood's best ambassadors, and we ask that you to pass along this event information to family members, friends, neighbors and the like who may be considering an independent school education for their child.
     We appreciate your ongoing support of our Admissions efforts!
