Important Start of School Auxiliary Information 

We’re excited to welcome families back for another wonderful year! Here are a few important dates, reminders, and helpful details for getting started with Brookwood’s Auxiliary Programs.

Program Start Dates

• After School: Wednesday, September 9
• Early Birds: Thursday, September 10
• Music Lessons, School Meeting Band & Fall Enrichment: Tuesday, September 22

Getting Started with Homeroom

Families can view enrollment and manage registration through Homeroom, which is also accessible through the Veracross Parent Portal. When completing your registration, be sure to review your family’s notification settings. We recommend selecting “all notifications” for adults who need to stay up to date.

Because Music Lessons and Fall Enrichment begin September 22, families who need After School coverage before that date can register for a drop-in day through Homeroom or email [email protected] for assistance.

Need Drop-In Coverage?

After School:

• Future dates: Register through Homeroom or email [email protected] and the Auxiliary team can add the coverage.
• Same day: Email [email protected] before noon so the team has time to notify your child’s teacher. If you need coverage after 2:00 p.m., please call the front desk instead.

Early Birds:

• Drop-in coverage can be added through Homeroom before you leave home or when you arrive at Brookwood. If you’re in a hurry, no problem! Early Birds staff can add your child manually at drop-off.
• No advance notice is required.

Music Lessons

If you completed the Music Lesson Interest Form, an instructor will contact you directly to begin scheduling. Families should hear from an instructor by the end of the first week of school.

After School Pickup

• 4:00 p.m. pickup: Lower School students should be picked up at the Lower School portico via Dan Wise Way. Dan Wise Way will be closed to traffic after the 4:00 p.m. dismissal.
• Upper School siblings: If an Upper School student is also being picked up at 4:00 p.m. with a Lower School sibling, both students should leave from the Lower School portico via Dan Wise Way.
• 5:30 p.m. pickup: All students, regardless of grade, should be picked up from the front lobby.
• Other pickup times: If you need to pick up outside the 4:00 or 5:30 p.m. dismissal times, please enter through the front door. You can wait in the lobby and have your child brought up, or enter the program after signing in/out and wearing a name tag.

Keeping Everyone in the Loop

Please email [email protected] with any questions or changes to your child’s plan so Trisha and Sophie are aware. If your child will not be attending After School or Enrichment on a day they are registered, please notify the Auxiliary team and your child’s homeroom teacher or advisor.
