We are excited to participate in the Mass Farm to School's Harvest of the Month program for our third year! The program's intention is to increase students’ exposure to seasonal foods while also supporting local farmers, and building excitement about trying new foods. Monthly, we will be sourcing a fruit, vegetable, fish and/or dairy product from a local farm or fisherman. September's Harvest of the Month was tomatoes!
Last week, students enjoyed a refreshing pico de gallo with tomatoes sourced from Ward's Berry Farm in Sharon, MA. If you have any questions about the program, please don't hesitate to reach out to Brookwood's Wellness Coordinator, Jean Skaane.
