Each year, students are matched up with a buddy in a different grade to create not only a mentorship, but also a unique, reciprocal relationship through games, activities and projects. As the year progresses, high fives in the hallway and exlamations of, "Hey, that's my buddy!" are often heard as students celebrate each other's accomplishments on the stage, in the art room, or on the field. Mentorship often turns into friendship, transcending the year of formal pairings and enriching the bonds between students.
As students across grades deepen their capacity for connecting, they gain perspective, confidence and courage—skills for a rich life of learning and meaningful relationships with peers of all ages.
