Herons Have Heart: Employee Wish List Program
In January, the Brookwood Parents’ Association proudly supported our faculty and staff through the Herons Have Heart Employee Wish List Program. This meaningful initiative invited employees to share wish-list items that enhance teaching and learning—often “nice to have” resources that may not be covered through the school’s annual operating budget, but make a meaningful difference in classrooms and learning spaces.
Funds generously donated by families during summer registration were stewarded by the Herons Have Heart Wish List Committee. The committee thoughtfully reviewed each request and carefully considered how to best use the funds to support our community.
The committee met in January with a shared goal: to ensure funds were used in ways that had broad and lasting impact, supporting creativity, connection, and comfort within classrooms and learning environments. Every submission was reviewed with care, gratitude, and an eye toward enhancing the daily experiences of both students and educators.
We are excited to share this year’s Wish List recipients, who were granted everything from:
- iPad Pro with Apple Pencil & Magic Keyboard
- Fake Euros for class activities
- Chomp Saws & Accessory Kits for the Creative Studio
- Bluetooth Speaker for PE
- Weighted Stuffies and Breathing Balls for Wellness
This celebration highlights the many ways our community comes together to support the people who make Brookwood such a special place to learn and grow.
