A Journey from Ocean Depths to Outer Space

Are you interested in traveling to space? How about the depths of the ocean or the top of Everest? Grade 5 students are charting new territory this month as they prepare to share their impressive Explorer projects with the community.

Join us on Friday, November 21, from 8:45–9:45 a.m. for our annual Explorers Fair, a dynamic collaboration between History and Changemaking. Stepping into the shoes—and mindsets—of famous explorers, students have been busy researching, organizing information, and crafting creative interpretations of their figures’ journeys.

At the Fair, fifth graders will embody the persona of their chosen explorer and showcase their learning through research, creative writing, 3D artifacts, and lively Q&A conversations about their travels. This interdisciplinary project invites students not only to understand the past, but to imagine boldly, think critically, and tell compelling stories.

We can’t wait to see their discoveries come to life next Friday! ✨
