From the Athletic Director’s Desk
As I reflect on the year, I am truly overwhelmed, in the best way, by the growth, energy, and success of our athletic program. The integration of our fifth graders and the positive feedback we’ve received throughout the year speak to the strength of our culture and the intentional work of our coaches.
At the Grade 5 - 8 level, athletics is about so much more than outcomes. It is about hustle, hard work, resilience, and the courage to try something new. It is about building connection, pride in representing your school, and a sense of adventure through competition. We saw this every day, at practice, in games, and in the way our athletes supported one another.
The strength of our program allows us to seek meaningful challenges across all levels. Our varsity teams frequently compete against high school programs, and our second teams regularly match up with opponents’ first teams. These experiences demand resilience and adaptability, and they play a critical role in our athletes’ long-term development.
This year, we were proud to present Heart Awards not only to our own athletes, but also to members of opposing teams. These awards recognize effort, sportsmanship, leadership, and respect for the game, reinforcing that character and integrity matter just as much as competition.
Across the court, field, and pool, our students competed with joy and pride. I am grateful to our coaches, athletes, families, and fellow schools for making this such a meaningful and successful year, and I am excited to see what next year brings as our athletes continue to grow, challenge themselves, and build on this strong foundation.
